Some Friday nights call for a microphone. At Capri, karaoke night brings together music, a friendly neighborhood crowd and plates of Cuban food. Sing every song or just cheer for everyone else. Either way, you're welcome.
When Is Karaoke at Capri?
Karaoke night is every other Friday from 7:00 to 10:00 PM at 817 Southern Blvd in West Palm Beach. Since it isn't every week, check the events calendar or call (561) 655-1602 to confirm this week's date before you head over.
What to Expect
This isn't a nightclub. Capri is a family-run Cuban restaurant that has been part of West Palm Beach since 1986, and karaoke night feels like a party with your neighbors.
- A big song list. Pick from an extensive selection, whether you're in the mood for a ballad or a party anthem.
- A crowd that cheers for everyone. Nobody expects you to sound like Celia Cruz.
- Families welcome. Kids love a turn at the mic, and there's a kids' menu for them.
- Food and drinks. Order from our Cuban menu, and have beer, wine or sangria between songs.
First Time Singing Karaoke? Start Here
- Pick a song you know by heart. You'll relax more when you're not chasing the lyrics.
- Stay in your range. A mid-tempo song with a catchy chorus is easier than a big power ballad.
- Bring backup. Duets and group songs take the pressure off. Get your whole table up for a song everyone knows.
- Come early. You'll get a good table and time to eat before the night gets going.
- Cheer for everyone else. It's more fun that way, and they'll cheer for you.
What to Order on Karaoke Night
To share
- Capri's Mix Platters: two versions, piled with pork, ham and cheese and Cuban bites like tamales, croquetas and yuca.
- Alitas de pollo: chicken wings, by the 10 or 20.
- Chicharrón de puerco con yuca: crunchy fried pork with yuca.
- El Capricho: two croquetas, a tamal, pork, and ham and cheese on one plate.
To drink
A jarra of sangria is made for sharing, and a five-beer bucket goes a long way at a big table. Wine is available by the glass or the bottle. Keep some water close for your voice, and have a cafecito if you plan to close out the night.
Dinner first?
Karaoke starts at 7, so come a little early and have dinner: palomilla steak, ropa vieja, arroz con pollo or a whole fried snapper. See the full menu.
Celebrating Something?
Karaoke night is a great way to mark a birthday, a promotion or just the end of the week. Coming with a big group? Call (561) 655-1602 ahead of time and let us know. Hosting the party at home instead? Capri catering can bring the food to you.
